μπρός γκρεμός και πίσω ρέμα.
We became familiar with this Greek saying quite some time ago, laughing that our plot of land actually has a rhea and a cliff. The rema is dry, the cliff has been stabilized, but we are being hit harder and harder by the weaknesses of building in Greece.

We are stuck again, the engineer keeps inserting unplanned and unjustified interruptions into our schedule. There is no plan for the coming weeks…already tapes have appeared on the plot to indicate the place to dig the hole for the house, but…nothing has happened for a week as we are looking for another concrete worker. Of course, no word on ordering reinforcement for the concrete work. We don’t have a schedule, we don’t have a contractor’s budget for the coming weeks.
The planning permission has been in place since 23 August, at the beginning of February – five months later – not even a shovel has been driven.
I guess we need to look for another engineer, other contractors.
But…
what if things are as good, as it gets?
