waiting for the spring to come | #week 64

Over the past weeks, we have been trying to find the common part between what there is, what should be happening and what the Greeks think about it. For northerners, used to schedules, plans, predictability, contracts, commitments and – last but not least – a deep respect for work and money – construction in Greece is a big challenge in this dimension.

Fotis and his team will finish building the walls, clean the site and surroundings and then wood and tiles will be delivered.
Nikos the plumber will bring some of the last pipes.
Dimitris, the excavator, will bring earth tomorrow and start backfilling the house, then we could erect also the electricity pole. The engine room will be also something-something…we are waiting to start the roof in the mid of February.
