Forty weeks: that’s how long it took to build the concrete structure. When we started at the beginning of April, it seemed that everything would already be ready in the summer.

The external sewage connections are ready, so we can slowly backfill the house and start landscaping. Unlike on the project, we have a huge slope of several metres under the house. I don’t think it will be possible to backfill this, as it would require huge amounts of earth and rock, but especially massive supporting walls. Instead, Dmitris is preparing traditional terraces, and the concrete wall will be planted with climbing plants and creeping rosemary.

After one year are entering new phase of building, when works could be done in parallel. Landscaping already started, we are waiting for brick layers, stone masons, roofer, electricians.
